The beginning
A place to eat
and feel at home
Nos first Mordisco opened in August 1986. The idea was to create a restaurant without the pretension of being a restaurant. A place where you could feel accompanied even if you came alone.

We opened the first Mordisco in Barcelona with a simple and honest idea: every bite should matter, every person who walked in should feel welcome and at ease.
We set up one of Barcelona's first shared tables. More than a few love stories began at that table.

Years of travel and flavour
Mordisco is the result of years of travels and flavours learned in markets, beaches and kitchens all along the Mediterranean coast. Each season brought new ideas, new produce, new people.
What matters to us are people, real produce and wholesome food. That has never changed.

Nos waiters are the hosts. Mordisco is a home where we want you to feel at ease, enjoying our unique atmosphere.
We cook with soin. People, real produce and wholesome food matter to us. That is what we have been doing for nearly four decades.

Forty years with soin
We have reached 40 years and grown the family. The original Mordisco now has a sibling, Atmósferas Mordisco at La Roca Village.
